alabaster-ceiling-light-brass-canopy-flush-mount
Alabaster Ceiling Light, Brass Canopy, Flush Mount, 12.5 cm

A small alabaster shade sits under a brushed brass canopy, and the two materials do the whole job. The stone is translucent, so it glows softly when lit, and its veining gives each shade its own pattern. The brass frames it in a warm, clean line. Lit or unlit, the stone is the part you look at, and the canopy is the part that holds it.

Veining varies from piece to piece, so the shade you receive will differ from the one in the photographs; that is what natural stone does. At 12.5 cm (4.9″) across it is a small fixture, and it mounts flush to the ceiling, so it takes very little room. The brass canopy is what you see first from below.

It mounts flush to the ceiling and is hardwired in place.

Natural alabaster shade, translucent with a soft glow

Brushed brass canopy against a white stone shade

Flush to the ceiling, only 13.5 cm tall

Every alabaster pattern is unique, so yours will differ from the photos

Every shade has its own veining

Alabaster is cut from natural stone, so the pattern of veins differs from one shade to the next. Yours will not match the pictures exactly. If you buy two, expect them to be similar but not identical. That variation is the stone itself, not a flaw.

A small fitting, your own bulb

The fitting takes a G9 bulb of up to 5 W, and none is supplied. The bulb sets the colour of the light, and the translucent stone softens it. That gives you control over the warmth of the glow. When the bulb fails, you change the bulb and leave the stone in place.

Specifications

Dimensions

Dia. 12.5 cm × H 13.5 cm (4.9″ × H 5.3″)

Material

brass, alabaster

Type

Ceiling lamp

Environment

Indoor

Body colour

brass

Shade colour

white

Natural stone

alabaster veining varies from piece to piece, so yours will not match the photos exactly

Frequently asked questions

What are the exact dimensions of this piece?
The diameter is 12.5 cm (4.9″) and the height is 13.5 cm (5.3″).

What materials and colours does this ceiling lamp have?
It has a brushed brass canopy and a white natural alabaster diffuser shade.
