floral-fabric-wall-light-wood-plate-pull-chain
Floral Fabric Wall Light, Wood Plate, Pull Chain, Wall Sconce

A floral-printed fabric shade sits on a slim metal arm. The fabric does the work of the light: it filters the bulb into a warm, soft glow. A round wood wall plate holds the arm against the wall, which gives the sconce a cottage feel rather than a hard metal one. The wood and fabric together keep the look gentle.

It is a small piece, with a shade 20 cm (7.9″) across. It comes in two finishes: Brass & Walnut Colour, or Nickel & Black. A pull chain on the fixture switches it on and off, so you can reach it from a bed or a bar counter. It is hardwired to the wall and suits bedsides, hallways and dining nooks.

The pull chain is on the lamp, so you switch it where you sit.

Floral-printed fabric shade filters light into a warm glow

Round wood wall plate with a slim metal arm

Pull chain on the fixture switches it on and off

Compact 20 cm shade for bedsides, hallways and dining nooks

The switch is on the lamp

The sconce has an inline switch, worked by a pull chain on the fixture itself. You reach up and tug it from the bedside or the dining nook without getting up. It is a small detail that many wall lights skip, and it makes this one a lamp you use rather than one you leave on.

You choose the bulb, and the light

The fixture is bulb-based, on an E26/E27 base, so the colour of the light depends on the bulb you fit. The fabric shade then filters it. A warmer bulb gives a softer, more romantic glow, and a cooler one gives a cleaner light. When a bulb fails, you replace the bulb alone.

Available finishes

Brass & Walnut Color

Nickel & Black

Specifications

Dimensions

Dia. 20 cm × H 14 cm (7.9″ × H 5.5″)

Material

Fabric, wood

Light source

Bulb-based

Bulb base

E26/E27

Dimming

Compatible with dimmable bulbs and dimmer switches

Max wattage

40 W per socket

Voltage

AC 110–240 V

Control method

Inline switch

Installation

Hardwired wall mount; professional installation is recommended

Location rating

Indoor dry locations only; IP20

Package includes

Light fixture, mounting hardware, installation instructions

Frequently asked questions

How high should I mount this sconce beside a bathroom mirror?
Start with the centre of the sconce about 60 to 168 cm (66″) above the floor.
