hemp-rope-pendant-light-wavy-hem
Wavy-Hem Hemp Rope Pendant Light, Flared Shade, 40–60 cm

The shade is woven radially here, rope running out from a central point like the ribs of an umbrella rather than wound in rings. It flares as it goes, so the frame gathers tight beneath the canopy and opens wide at the base. It ends in a wavy, scalloped edge, rather than a straight one. Every gap between the ropes lets a thread of light through when it's lit, so the whole shade glows in an uneven, textured pattern. It reads as an open bloom more than a conventional lampshade.

All three sizes hang from the same small brass canopy, on a cord that adjusts at installation to suit your ceiling. The jump between them is mostly about presence. The smallest sits as a single accent; the largest opens wide enough to read as a genuine centrepiece. There's one rope tone throughout, so this isn't a colour decision. It's purely a question of scale, and that's worth settling against the room before you order.

One 3000 K bulb comes included as a gift, fitted into a brass canopy on an adjustable cord.

Hemp rope hand-woven radially into a wide, flared shade

Flares out to a wavy, scalloped hem at the edge

Choose Φ40, Φ50 or Φ60 cm, each on a brass canopy

Cord adjusts at install to set your hanging height

A bulb comes with every order

One E27 bulb, 3000 K, is included as a gift with the fixture, so there's nothing extra to source before you install it. It's a standard screw-base bulb, not an integrated light, so replacing it later is a straightforward swap rather than a call for a repair. The socket sits at the centre of the woven frame, where the rope gathers to a point beneath the canopy.

The rope needs a dry, gentle room

The shade is natural hemp rope, not a sealed or laminated material, so it responds to its surroundings. Dust it gently with a soft, dry brush, and keep water and solvents away, since either can loosen or stain the woven rope. Humidity is the real risk over time, weakening the rope even if you never touch it. Wipe the brass canopy separately with a soft, dry cloth, since it needs different care from the rope itself.

Specifications

Product type

Single-Head Pendant Light, Wave-Edged Flared Hemp Rope Shade, 3 size options

Craft

Hand-Woven

Material

Natural Hemp Rope, metal Frame & Hardware

Size options

Φ40 cm (height 16 cm), Φ50 cm (height 20 cm), or Φ60 cm (height 25 cm)

Cord length

Adjustable

Light source

E27, 3000 K LED

Included bulb

Yes — 1 × E27 3000 K LED bulb included as a gift with each order

Mounting

Ceiling Pendant, Brass Canopy & Adjustable Cord

Environment

Indoor

Suitable spaces

Dining table, living room, bedside, entryway

Dimensions, Canopy

Round brass canopy

Dimensions, Cord Length

Adjustable

Dimensions, Overall Fixture (Φ40 cm)

Φ40 × height 16 cm (Φ15.7″ × H6.3″)

Dimensions, Overall Fixture (Φ50 cm)

Φ50 × height 20 cm (Φ19.7″ × H7.9″)

Dimensions, Overall Fixture (Φ60 cm)

Φ60 × height 25 cm (Φ23.6″ × H9.8″)

Dimensions, Lights

1 × E27 socket

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does it come in?
Three sizes: ∅40 × H16 cm (∅15.7 × H6.3″), ∅50 × H20 cm (∅19.7 × H7.9″) or ∅60 × H25 cm (∅23.6 × H9.8″).
