milk-glass-ceiling-light-globe-shade-metal-disc
Milk Glass Ceiling Light with Globe Shade, Metal Disc, 36 or 48 cm

Two plain shapes carry the whole fitting: a milk glass globe, 15 cm (5.9″) across, set against a round metal disc. The light spreads outward from the glass, so the ceiling gets a soft halo instead of a bare bulb. The metal is brass or black, and the glass stays white, which keeps the palette quiet.

The discs are optional, and every fixture works with or without them. That lets you decide how much metal shows against the ceiling. The fitting comes 36 cm (14.2″) or 48 cm (18.9″) across, and both sizes sit under 15 cm (5.9″) tall. Depth is the first thing to weigh, because it sets how much of the ceiling the fitting takes up.

It is hardwired into the ceiling, and bulbs are not supplied.

Milk glass globe, 15 cm across, set against a metal disc

Brass or black metal body with a white glass shade

Works with or without the metal disc, so you choose the look

Two sizes, 36 cm or 48 cm across, both under 15 cm tall

Take the discs off if you like

The metal discs belong to the design but are not fixed to it. Every fixture can be used with them or without them, so one lamp gives you two looks. With the discs, the glass sits against metal. Without them, the white glass stands alone and the fitting becomes simpler.

Two widths, both shallow

Only the width really changes between the two sizes. Both stay close to the ceiling, and the exact heights are in the specifications. So the choice is how much ceiling you want covered, not how far the lamp hangs down. Judge it by the space around the fitting, not by how tall it looks.

Specifications

Dimensions, 36 x 12 cm

Dia. 36 cm × H 12 cm (14.2″ × H 4.7″)

Dimensions, 48 x 14 cm

Dia. 48 cm × H 14 cm (18.9″ × H 5.5″)

Material

Metal, brass, glass

Type

Ceiling light

Environment

Indoor

Glass shade diameter

Dia. 15 cm (5.9″)

Body colour

Brass, Black

Glass shade colour

White

Frequently asked questions

What are the dimensions of this lamp?
Two sizes available: 36 cm × 12 cm (14.2″ diameter × 4.7″ height), or 48 cm × 14 cm (18.9″ diameter × 5.5″ height).
