table-lamp-block-alabaster-bracket-clips
Block Alabaster Table Lamp, Bracket Clips, D38 × H52 cm

The shade is a solid cut block of alabaster, not a hollow drum, held up on two slim clips that grip only its lower corners. That leaves the block looking almost suspended, with visible gaps of air beneath and around it rather than a shade sitting flush on a fitting. A slender rod rises from a round, weighted base to reach it. The whole lamp reads as very little metal holding up quite a lot of stone.

Because the shade is one fixed block rather than a size range, the real decision is finish. It runs Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel or Matte Black across the base, rod and bracket clips. That choice changes how the metal reads against the stone. It is warm against pale alabaster in brass, cool in nickel, or a flat, quiet frame in black. The plug is the other choice to make, since the base ships fitted for one socket type rather than several.

The shade sits on two clips rather than inside a fitting, so light escapes around its edges as well as through the stone.

Solid alabaster block shade glows evenly with soft veining

Slender bracket clips grip the shade's lower corners

Available in Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel or Matte Black finish

Stands 52 cm tall on a 38 cm weighted round base

The stone was never meant to match

The block is cut from natural alabaster. Its veining and exact tone will vary from one lamp to the next, the way real stone always does. Two lamps standing side by side will glow with a similar warmth but a different pattern running through the stone. That is the trade-off for a shade that is genuinely cut rock rather than a cast or printed one.

The clips leave the block visibly held

Because two slender clips grip only the lower corners, the block sits slightly proud of its fitting rather than being sealed into a housing. That means you can see how the lamp actually holds the stone up. That is part of the design rather than a construction detail to hide. It also keeps the fitting itself small, so the stone stays the visual focus.

Available finishes

Brass

Nickel

Black

Specifications

Dimensions

Dia. 38.1 cm × H 52.1 cm (15″ × H 20.5″)

Product type

Table Lamp (single solid alabaster block shade, corner bracket clips, 3 hardware finishes)

Material

brass Hardware, Natural Alabaster Block Shade

Finish options

Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black

Overall size

D38 × height 52 cm (D15.0″ × H20.5″)

Alabaster shade size

27 × 27 × 17.5 cm (10.6″ × 10.6″ × 6.9″)

Socket type

E26 or E27 (regional), ×1

Mounting

Tabletop, Plug-In (freestanding, weighted round base)

Environment

Indoor

Suitable spaces

Bedside table, console table, desk, entryway table

Dimensions, Base Diameter

38 cm (15″)

Dimensions, Overall Height

52 cm (20.5″)

Dimensions, Alabaster Shade

27 × 27 × 17.5 cm (10.6″ × 10.6″ × 6.9″) (W × D × H)

Overall size

27 × 27 × 17.5 cm (10.6″ × 10.6″ × 6.9″) (W × D × H)

Finishes

Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black

Frequently asked questions

What is this lamp made from?
A slim cylindrical metal rod rises from a round weighted base and holds a single, solid block-shaped natural alabaster shade aloft on two slender bracket clips that grip its lower front corners, in your choice of hardware finish.

What finishes are available?
Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, or Matte Black for the base, stem, and bracket clips.
