A slim vertical bar of alabaster, lit from the inside

  • Capsule ends — the stone tapers to a soft rounded tip at the top and again at the bottom.
  • Natural veining — grey and warm-tan striations run through the stone, showing through the surface when the lamp is lit.
  • Quiet when it is off — unlit, the bar reads as a pale grey-white stone against the wall.
  • Light on the wall behind — the glow carries past the stone and onto the wall above and below it.

Alabaster, chosen for what it does with light

Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than bouncing off it. The metal is finished smooth, and stone against metal gives you a balanced contrast with a soft, tactile quality.
