Unlit, it reads as a small chalk-white sphere with faint grey veining running through the stone — 12 cm (4.7″) across and 15 cm (5.9″) tall, so it clears a bedside table without crowding it. Switch it on and the whole globe warms to honey-cream as light finds its way through the mineral, while a clear stepped lens set into the brass band underneath aims a separate, defined pool straight down at the surface below. A slim black cord carries it from a black cylindrical canopy.
What makes it work
-
Real alabaster, not printed glass — light travels through actual stone, so the veining gains depth as it glows instead of sitting flat on a surface.
-
A lens, not only a shade — the clear stepped optic under the brass band throws a focused pool downward, so one small fixture gives you task light and ambient glow at once.
-
Integrated LED — the light source is built in, so there is no socket to match and no bulb to buy.
Where it fits
At 12 cm (4.7″) across this is a mini pendant, sized for one focused position rather than whole-room coverage. The cord drops 59 cm (23.2″) from the ceiling, which puts the globe at reading height beside a bed and just clear of sightlines above a kitchen island. Hang two or three in a row and the pools overlap along the counter — each order is a single pendant, so order one per position.
Choose your light temperature before you order
The LED is fixed at the temperature you select: warm light for bedrooms and dining, cool light where you want a crisper, whiter beam over a work surface. It is not built to run on a standard wall dimmer either, so wire it to a plain on/off switch and let the lens do the shaping.
Alabaster runs its own pattern
Every globe is cut from natural stone, so the veining and the way it takes light belong to that piece alone. Expect the same warm, cloudy glow you see here, in a pattern that is not repeated.
Installation
This is a hardwired fitting: the black canopy covers the ceiling outlet, and you set the drop from the cord as you fix it. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.

Frequently asked questions
How big is it, really?
The alabaster globe measures 12 cm (4.7″) across and 15 cm (5.9″) tall, and the cord gives a 59 cm (23.2″) drop from the ceiling. It is a mini pendant — a bedside or bar-counter size, not a dining-table centrepiece.
Can I put it on a dimmer?
No. The integrated LED is not built for a standard wall dimmer, so run it from a plain on/off switch.
Do I choose warm or cool light?
Yes, at checkout. The LED is set to the temperature you pick and stays there, so choose warm for bedrooms and dining and cool for work surfaces.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces, so keep it away from steam, splashes and the weather.
