Genuine alabaster, and what makes it special
Natural variation: milky white is not a defect
Alabaster ranges from pure milky white to bold grey or amber veining. A mostly white piece is a sign of high-purity stone, not a flaw. Veining forms naturally and cannot be controlled. If your project needs a specific pattern, contact us before ordering at info@clerachic.com.
J-box coverage: complimentary 12 cm backplate included
The Alvia base is roughly 3.9" wide. Standard US and Canadian electrical junction boxes (J-boxes) are usually about 4" wide, so the fixture may not fully cover the box. A complimentary 12 cm diameter backplate is included to hide any exposed gap. The backplate is entirely optional if you prefer the clean, flush look shown in most photos.
Dimmable version and dimmer guidance
For the dimmable version, the thyristor or DALI dimmable driver must sit outside the canopy for best performance. Pair it with a Triac dimmer switch for smooth, flicker-free brightness control. Compatible Triac dimmer switches are widely available.
Colour temperature
Every standard order ships in Warm White (3000K). If you need Neutral White (4000K) or Cool White (6000K), contact us before placing your order at info@clerachic.com.
Integrated LED and ongoing light-source service
The integrated LED is built to last, with an exceptionally long service life under normal use. Is this real alabaster or resin?
Real, genuine alabaster stone, never resin. That is what gives it the premium weight, cool touch, and translucence only natural stone produces.
My piece looks mostly white with no veining. Is this a defect?
No. A mostly milky-white piece indicates high-purity alabaster. Veining is natural and cannot be controlled. Contact us if your project needs a specific pattern.
Will the light cover my J-box?
The base is 3.9" wide and standard US/CA J-boxes are about 4", so it may not fully cover it. A complimentary 12 cm backplate is included, and is optional if you prefer the minimal flush look.
