Some floor lamps just stand there. This one leans. A single metal bow rises from a flat plate on the floor and curves out over the seat beside it. It lights the corner with a soft warm wash instead of putting another table lamp on your furniture.

A lit band across the top of the curve

  • Light along the line — the band runs the top of the bow, so the glow spreads along a curve, not out of one bulb.
  • A lit half and a plain half — the band stops partway down the descending side, and below it the tube gives no light.
  • A tapered blade — the tube is broad at the foot and narrows to a hairline at the tip.
  • One unbroken bow — the curve runs from foot to tip in a single sweep, with no shade to break the line.

Matte metal drawn into one line

It's built in metal and plastic, finished matte so the tube reads as a drawn line rather than a polished pipe. Along the lit section the band sits flush in the face of the tube. There is no protruding fitting and no visible seam where the profile narrows.

Fit and placement

It stands on its own plate, so nothing is fixed to the wall or the ceiling. A cord runs from the foot along the floor to a socket. Stand it beside a chair, a sofa end or a bedside table and let the curve lean in above.

Frequently asked questions

Does the light fall on the chair, or on the wall?
On the wall. The band throws a broad, soft wash over the wall and ceiling above the seating rather than a beam at seat height. Add a table lamp alongside if you want a focused pool for close reading.

How does the arm join the base?
The tube meets a small raised bracket on the plate, fixed with two exposed screws. There is no hinge or telescoping section along the arm itself — the curve is one continuous piece.

Is there any difference between the black and the white?
Only the colour. Both are the same bow on the same flat plate, and each carries one colour from the base through to the tip.
