One slim bar, running on past the shades at both ends

• The sphere — the largest of the shades, with the bar running straight through it rather than a stem.
• The lens — a flattened oval tilts up above the bar on a short stem, with the sphere overlapping it.
• The halo — a wide disc, with the bar crossing its face so the lit ring reads around a darker hub.
• The two below — a broad oval hangs from a short stem, and a taller oval swings lower on its own angled arm.

An even glow, with no lamp showing through

Switch it on and each shade lights right across its surface — no hot spot at the centre, nothing of the lamp showing inside. You see these shades from below and from the side at once, so that evenness matters. The finish is yours to choose.

Fit and placement

This is a hardwired fixture — have an electrician make the final connection at your ceiling's junction box, not a plug socket. The bar is the longest part of the piece: every shade sits inside its run, and both ends finish bare. Plan your clearance from the length in the specifications.
