An alabaster cylinder raised on a slender rod

  • Light through the stone — switched on, the column glows brightest through its middle and softens towards each end.
  • Capped ends — a slim metal ring closes the cylinder top and bottom, matched to the rod's finish.
  • A rod that carries on — below the arm the rod continues and stops in a plain cut end, finishing the vertical line instead of breaking it.

Alabaster, cut from natural stone

Alabaster is never uniform. The grain in your shade will not match another, because the stone decides the pattern rather than a mould. That is why the cylinder still holds your eye with the lamp switched off.

Fit and placement

The round back plate sits flat to the wall and the arm carries the cylinder clear of it, so the stone glows on every side. It lays a soft halo across the wall behind rather than a hard beam up or down.
