A single globe of warm light, set low in a shade carved from solid wood. It doesn't flood a room — it settles it, laying a soft pool of light across the wall and leaving the rest dim. Put it beside a headboard or along a quiet hallway, and the evening slows with it.

A carved wood shade built around one glass globe

  • The shade — solid wood, hollowed into a shallow tray with its open face turned towards the room.
  • The grain — left visible across the whole face, running the length of the shade.
  • The globe — a seamless opal glass sphere set low and off-centre, so the light pools rather than glares.
  • The overlap — the globe breaks past the rim instead of sitting buried inside it.

Wood, metal and glass in one piece

Three materials sit together here: wood for the shade, metal for the bracket behind it, glass at the centre. The rim thins towards the edge and the face is hollowed out, so the wood catches the glow and hands it back to the wall. Organic and architectural at once.

Fit and placement
