The stone is the only smooth surface

It hangs on one wall plate set about halfway down the blade; roughly the lower half runs on below the fixing. Give it a clear strip of wall: the height does the work, the width asks almost nothing. Level with a headboard it reads as a bedside light; higher up it carries the wall alone.
