One black line from the ceiling down to the shade

A shallow round canopy covers the ceiling fixing, and a black cable drops from it to a short straight stem. The wood ball is the only break in that line, and the stem meets the shade dead centre. Everything above the fabric stays black, so your eye lands on the shade.

Fit and placement

It mounts to the ceiling and wires straight in, so have an electrician fit it and take the feed to a wall switch — the switch is not supplied. The cable adjusts, so you can hang it low over a table or higher in a bedroom.
