A band of alabaster on your wall, lit from within. This wall light stands tall and narrow, its faceted face catching light on one side and holding shade on the other. Switch it on and the stone warms right through.

A faceted alabaster block with its copper fixings on show

  • Faceted face — a ridge runs down the centre of the block, so one half catches light and the other holds shade.
  • Mitred ends — the top and bottom are cut back at an angle, so the stone tapers instead of stopping square.
  • Exposed copper fixings — four copper-toned heads sit on show at the corners of each block's face.
  • Two-block build — the 2 Lights version adds a second block below the first, joined by a slim copper-toned bar.

Alabaster and copper, cut and finished

Each block is cut from alabaster, a stone valued for how it carries light rather than blocks it. The pale striations across the face are the stone's own, not a print. The copper-toned metal keeps a soft, low-shine finish that warms against the white.

Fit and placement

The block stands proud of the wall rather than sitting flush. Its side face reads from an angle, and it throws a soft shadow behind it. The glow washes up and down the wall as well as through the stone.

How different does it look switched off?
Off, it reads as a pale, near-opaque stone block. On, the veining comes forward and the face warms through to amber.
