A lantern shape in white silk, lit from the inside and quiet about it. Raised ribs run the full curve of the shade, so the glow lands soft rather than sharp. Turned walnut-tone wood finishes both ends. Hang it over a table and the room settles the moment it's lit.

A ribbed white shade between two turned wood caps

  • Raised vertical ribs — moulded ridges run the full height of the shade and stay visible with the light off.
  • Turned wood cap — a smooth, grained knop sits above the shade, ending in a band that meets its rim.
  • Slim gold-toned rod — a narrow stem rises from the cap, with a small collar where the two meet.
  • Flared cup and ball finial — a wide gold-toned cone closes the base and carries a turned wood ball below it.

Wood and gold-finished metal, matched tone for tone

The wood is turned, not moulded — you can read the grain across the cap and the concentric rings on the ball. Gold-finished metal is kept to the hardware: the rod, the collar beneath the cap, and the cup at the shade's base.

Fit and placement

Have a qualified electrician make the connection; it runs from a common wall switch, which isn't supplied. At the ceiling it finishes in a small domed canopy in the same gold-toned metal, sitting flush against the surface. Set the drop using the rod sections listed in the specifications.
