The light starts in the lower dish and bounces off the dome

• LED strip on the dish rim — the diodes sit along the upturned rim of the small black dish and face up into the dome.
• Pale inner face — the dome's underside is a soft white, so it catches that light and spreads it wide.
• Wood-grain dome — the wide upper hood is unbroken but for the small black cable gland at its crown.
• Brass centre column — a slim brass-toned post links the two discs, the only warm metal on the fixture.

The grain runs the full width of the dome in a single sweep. Wood reads pale and honeyed; Brown is a deeper, redder tone. Canopy, cord and lower dish stay black in both, so the grain carries the colour.

Fit and placement

Have a qualified electrician make the ceiling connection. The hanging height is adjustable, so you can set the drop low over a table or higher in an entryway. Assembly is required before it goes up.
