Some pendants light a room. This one blooms into it. Petals of pale, semi-translucent plant fibre curve open like a flower caught mid-bloom. Hang it low over the table where people linger, and let the shape speak before the light even comes on.

  • Black metal edging — every fibre panel is edged with a black metal frame that draws the petal outline.
  • Layered depth — the panels overlap in tiers, so the shade reads three-dimensionally from below and from the side.
  • Open centre — the petals leave the middle open, so a globe-shaped bulb reads well from directly below.
  • Graphic unlit — switched off, the pale panels and dark outlines read like a botanical illustration on the ceiling.

Fibre that slows the light instead of blocking it

The panels are cut from natural plant fibre, thin enough to pass light rather than bounce it back. Slowed by the fibre, the glow falls warm and directional rather than harsh. Where two petals overlap, the doubled fibre deepens into shadow, so the lit shade keeps its layers instead of flattening.

Fit and placement

A qualified electrician should make the connection, with the power switched off at the breaker. Over a dining table, hang the underside of the shade 70–80 cm (28–32″) above the surface. Keep it clear of cooking steam, bathrooms and any room that stays humid.
