Stone thin enough to carry the light

The disc is cut from natural marble, thin enough to let light through and show its veining rather than hide it. Lit, the stone turns warm amber and the pins read as small dark points against it. Light escapes above the collar as well, laying a soft ring of warmth on the ceiling around the fixture.
