A round metal canopy, a riveted leather strap, and a disc of alabaster 14 cm (5.5″) across: that is the whole fixture. Unlit, the stone reads as a pale, softly veined puck against cognac brown, black or white leather. Switched on, the LED sits behind the stone rather than in front of it, so what you see is the alabaster glowing — no bright spot, no visible lamp, no glare across a table. Orinos is built as a system rather than a single lamp: a lone 88 cm (34.6″) drop beside a bed, a two-head run at 147 cm (57.9″) or 269 cm (105.9″) down a stairwell, a diagonal that crosses from ceiling to wall, or four heads spread across 122 cm (48″) of ceiling.
What makes it work
-
Alabaster lit from behind — each 14 cm (5.5″) head glows across the stone's own veining, so the light is diffuse rather than directional and there is no lamp in view.
-
Riveted leather strap — brown, black or white leather carries the drop instead of a steel rod, and the rivets are the only hardware you see.
-
Six layouts, one system — one, two or four heads; drops of 88 cm (34.6″), 147 cm (57.9″) or 269 cm (105.9″); or a 96 cm (37.8″) diagonal that lands on a wall bracket.
Read this before you choose a layout
Two of the six run on the diagonal. The canopy fixes to the ceiling and the far end of the strap anchors to a wall bracket 96 cm (37.8″) away, which is what lets the light sit over a stair or into a corner where there is no ceiling point to use. Both need a fixing in the wall as well as one in the ceiling, so look at that wall before you order. The four-head layout is the opposite case: it sits tight to the ceiling, 10 cm (3.9″) deep, across a 122 × 100 cm (48″ × 39.4″) footprint.
Light colour and dimming
The LED is integrated, so the light colour is settled when you order — warm for a dining room or a bedroom, cool where you want the alabaster to hold closer to white — and it cannot be swapped afterwards. For the same reason this is not a dimmer fixture: it runs at one output on a standard switched circuit.

Frequently asked questions
Does it need a bulb?
No. The LED is built into each alabaster head, so there is nothing to buy alongside it. You choose warm or cool light when you order.
Can I put it on a dimmer?
No. It runs at a single output on a standard switched circuit, so plan it in as switched light rather than dimmed light.
Which layout suits a dining table?
The two-head straight drop at 147 cm (57.9″) hangs well over a standard table. The 269 cm (105.9″) run is built for a stairwell or a double-height room, and the four-head cluster covers a long table or an open-plan room across 122 × 100 cm (48″ × 39.4″).
What do the two 96 cm layouts need?
A ceiling point for the canopy, plus a solid fixing on the wall 96 cm (37.8″) away for the bracket the strap runs to.
