A column of paper forms, stacked one on the next, reading as a single hanging shape. Ribbed spheres and a slimmer oval, all in the same soft white. Lit, the paper turns warm and the joins between the forms glow brightest. Quiet, sculptural, and made by hand.

Ribbed paper forms stacked into one column

  • Fine horizontal ribs — every form is ribbed the whole way round, so the light breaks into bands rather than one flat wash.
  • One sharp rim — a flatter, wider shade sits low in the column and tapers to a single sharp edge at its widest point.
  • Form meets form — each shape narrows to a neck where it meets the next, so the stack reads as one piece.
  • A single black cord — one slim black cord runs down from the ceiling to the top form.

Hand-bonded paper, and the surface shows it

Each form is bonded by hand from paper and glue. Unlit, the surface reads as soft, creased paper rather than a smooth machined skin.
   

Fit and placement

This pendant is hardwired, so plan on an electrician unless the ceiling wiring is already in place. It runs off a standard wall switch, which is not supplied. The suspension cable adjusts within the length given in the specifications, so you set the drop to your ceiling. It is an indoor fitting, and the moisture rating in the specifications sets where it can hang.

Frequently asked questions

Does the whole column glow at the same brightness?
No. The joins read brightest, and the flatter shade lower down lights cooler and greyer than the spheres. The bulb itself stays hidden behind the paper.

Can I hang it over a dining or tea table?
Yes. Hang it so the lowest form sits clear of the view across the table.

Is a faint glue mark along an edge a fault?
No. Hand-bonding leaves the odd small trace of glue along a shade edge, and it is not a quality issue.
