Most ceilings get a flat disc and nothing else. This one opens like a flower — two tiers of curved acrylic petals, with longer ribbon petals reaching out past the body. Unlit, it still holds the room. Lit, the acrylic glows and the warm light washes across every layer.

Two tiers of acrylic petals on a central stem

  • Layered tiers — a broad open rosette sits above a deeper, cupped lower tier.
  • Ribbon petals — a few long, narrow petals sweep out horizontally past the rounded body and break the circle.
  • Exposed globes — one bulb sits on the stem above the top tier, another down inside the lower one.
  • Two cables and a stem — two fine cables drop from a low round canopy, with the slim central stem running down between them.

Moulded acrylic that slots onto a metal frame

Every petal carries the same matte white face, and each one slots onto the metal frame at the centre. The layers sit at slightly different angles, so from any side you read one continuous shape rather than a stack of discs. Acrylic also keeps a piece this wide light on the ceiling.

Fit and placement

This pendant is hardwired, so have a qualified electrician make the ceiling connection. Hang it over a table or a bed rather than across a walkway, where you would look straight up into the open base. Set the drop so the underside sits above your eye line once you are seated.
