Some pendants shout for attention. This one earns it quietly. Silk pulled over a ribbed frame softens the light into a warm, rounded shape. Hang it where you read or eat, and the corner it lights feels calmer than it did.

Silk stretched over a ribbed frame

  • Ribbed panels — each rib reads as a fine dark line through the lit silk, the cloth standing plump between them.
  • Scalloped hem — the ribs finish in rounded lobes, so the bottom edge curves instead of cutting straight across.
  • Wood cap — a domed wooden collar seats the shade at the foot of the stem.
  • Domed canopy — a small dome covers the ceiling box, the black cord dropping from its centre.

A turned wood stem with a metal collar at each end

The stem is walnut-coloured white oak, turned into a slim column with a rounded bead at its middle. A metal ferrule finishes it top and bottom. Against the white silk, that dark wood is what gives the fixture its presence.

Yes. The shade is open at its base, so light drops straight down as well as through the silk.

How does the silk look with the lamp on?
The panels facing the bulb read warm amber and the sides stay paler, so the shade shows its shape rather than reading flat.

Will it work on a sloped ceiling?
Yes — it is made for sloped ceilings under 30°, and for flat ones.
