Some shapes stay with you at first sight. A swollen curve narrows to a slim neck. Ribs gather at the base into a soft, scalloped edge. This pendant borrows that silhouette and turns it into light.

A ribbed silhouette that flares into a scalloped hem

  • Ribbed lobes — vertical seams gather the shade into rounded lobes curving out from a narrow neck.
  • Scalloped hem — the lower edge ruffles into soft points, the brightest part of the shade once it's lit.
  • Diffused glow — light passes through the shade itself rather than showing the bulb directly.
  • Slim cable — a fine cord runs from a small ceiling canopy, keeping the eye on the shade.

A crinkled surface crossed by fine seam lines

Up close the surface is crinkled and papery rather than smooth. A fine grey line runs between each pair of lobes, from the neck down to the hem. Lit, the lobes take the light unevenly, some warm and some pale, so the shade never flattens into one tone.

Fit and placement

This pendant wires directly into a ceiling point, so have an electrician handle the install. The cord adjusts to the drop listed in the specifications, so you can set the shade at exactly the height your room needs.
