Is the metal polished or satin?
Satin. A fine circular grain runs across each metal disc, so highlights drift softly over the face instead of flashing back. The matte finish is the exception, smooth and flat.

What do you see from the chair below?
The white globe first, then the dished underside of the lower disc lit warm around it. The upper disc reads as a thin rim.
