• Diffuser set below the rim — the pale acrylic sits down inside the ring, so you see a lit surface, not the source.
• Rolled outer edge — the rim curves over rather than meeting the ceiling square, and lays a soft, wide shadow around itself.

One stone ring, nothing bolted to it

There is nothing on the outside of the Orben but stone. No screws, no seam, no metal trim where the acrylic meets the ring. That plainness is why it reads as an object on the ceiling rather than as a light fitting.

Fit and placement

The Orben is a ceiling fixture, fixed flat to the surface above you rather than hung from it. Nothing drops into the room, so it clears heads and doorways where a pendant would not. The stone holds its own against a painted ceiling, dark lacquer or bare timber boards.
