Glass Pendant Light over Kitchen Island, 1-Light Modern, 19–35 cm

Three shade shapes — a tall teardrop, a full globe, a wide ∅35 cm (14″) saucer — each in four glass colours. The holder is a standard E26, so any LED, incandescent or fluorescent bulb fits; nothing proprietary to buy. Hang one at a bedside, a pair over a kitchen island, or three along a dining table or hallway.

What makes it work

• Hand-shaped glass on a turned wood collar — the shade has real thickness and holds its form unlit, so the pendant still reads as an object with the light off.
• Three shapes, four colours — twelve combinations from one design, so a run over an island can be varied and still look deliberate.
• Standard E26 lamp holder — LED, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs all fit, so you set the warmth and the output rather than living with a fixed light source.

Choosing a glass colour

• White (opal): diffuses completely, hides the bulb, throws an even cream glow with nothing glaring to look up into.
• Clear: the crispest light, filament on show.
• Amber: warms the whole room toward cognac.
• Smoke gray: charcoal in a dim corner, soft taupe against a white ceiling.

Before you order

The bulb is not included; the socket is a standard E26, so a bulb you already like will fit. The fixture is not dimmable — it runs at full output on an ordinary wall switch, so choose a lower-output or warmer bulb if you want a softer light. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, which rules out a bathroom or a covered porch, and it arrives needing only the glass shade seated onto the fixture body.

Shade shapes and sizes

All three shapes come in the same four glass colours. Over a table or an island, hang the base of the shade 76–91 cm (30–36″) above the surface; in a walkway or over a stair, keep it clear of head height — the saucer is the widest at ∅35 cm (14″), the teardrop the deepest at 35 cm (14″).

Specifications

It is a hardwired fitting. Wire and fix the fixture body first, then seat the glass shade and handle it by the collar. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.
