The Tiffan runs on 24V DC, which means it needs a transformer — sold separately as an add-on option below — to step down from your household supply. The fixture itself carries an IP65 rating and hardwires in fine outdoors, but the transformer isn't waterproof, so it has to sit indoors or in a dry, sheltered enclosure. Have an electrician handle the wiring, or run it yourself if you're comfortable working with low-voltage transformers; it's a straightforward job once the transformer is placed correctly.
