One globe on a wall is a fitting. Two, stacked, is a composition.
The backplate here is elongated and rounded at both ends, and a soft globe sits at each. Because the two are lit together, the wall behind picks up two overlapping pools that read as one tall soft wash rather than two separate lights — and because the globes are opal, neither shows a bright point at any angle. Walnut, natural oak or black. It is a bedside and hallway fitting: quiet enough to live beside a pillow, structured enough to hold an empty wall.
