• A straight bar across a round plate — one slim tube crosses a plain disc at its middle, finished to match.
• Fixings left on show — a squared collar carries the bar, with three small rounded heads in a line beneath it.
• Squared knuckle joints — each end of the bar turns down through a small square bracket onto the top of its dome.
• Deep domes, open at the base — a rounded shade with a bare open rim, no glass or diffuser across it.

A light bar against two heavy shades

Proportion is what makes this one work. The tube is thin and precise, the domes rounded and substantial, and the contrast keeps the fixture from reading as either fussy or blunt. In the Brass finish, the surface is warm and tactile, and develops character over time.

Fit and placement

Over a bathroom mirror, fix it above the frame so both domes clear the glass and the light falls onto the counter. On a bedside wall it sits at reading height and leaves the table free. The two arms are equal, so centre it on whatever it serves — the mirror, the bed, the doorway.

Will I see the bare bulb when it is lit?
Each bulb sits up inside its dome. From the front you see the lit inside of the shade, not the lamp itself.

Does it give one pool of light or two?
Two, one under each dome. They broaden as they fall and meet on the wall below, so a mirror or a counter reads as evenly lit.

How different are Brass and Vintage Brass?
Brass is a bright satin gold that catches the light along the curve of each dome. Vintage Brass is darker and greyer, closer to bronze.
