Picture a lantern-shaped fixture in black die-cast aluminum, its glass pane catching the last daylight before it switches itself on: that's the presence the Tyler post light brings to the top of a fence post or gate pillar. No cable trench, no electrician call for the solar builds — just a fixture that spends the day quietly gathering sun and hands it back as a warm, 3000K glow once dusk settles in.
What makes it work
-
Self-charging solar core — a 7W panel feeds a 2500mAh battery to full in around 6 hours of direct sun, then holds up to 20 hours of light after dark.
-
Weatherproof build — solid die-cast aluminum paired with a glass panel, made to hold its shape and shine through rain, wind, and everyday sun exposure.
-
Vintage lantern silhouette — a black, modern-vintage shape that reads as a lantern rather than a bare utility fixture bolted to your fence.
Choosing your setup
Tyler comes two ways: a solar post lamp for the top of a fence post or gate pillar, and a solar wall lamp built around its own smaller 6V/2W panel and 3.7V/2200mAh battery, sized for mounting flush to brick or siding by the door. A hardwired version of the post lamp is also available if you'd rather wire it into an existing circuit — have an electrician make that connection, or run it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wiring; it's a straightforward job. Every version ships from a single unit up to a set of eight, so you can light one gate pillar or an entire fence line in one order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the light stay on after dark?
Give the panel around 6 hours of direct sun and the post lamp holds its glow for up to 20 hours before it needs another charge.
What's different between the post lamp and the wall lamp?
Same black, modern-vintage look and warm 3000K LED, but the wall lamp runs its own smaller 6V/2W panel and 3.7V/2200mAh battery, sized for mounting flush against a wall rather than a post top.
Do I need an electrician to install it?
No — the solar versions simply sit in direct sun and switch on at dusk. Only the hardwired post lamp needs a wired connection, and that's a straightforward job for an electrician or a confident DIYer.
Is it built to handle real outdoor weather?
Yes — the body is die-cast aluminum with a glass panel, made to hold its shape and shine through rain, wind, and everyday sun exposure.
