Picture one wide, shallow disc hung low over your table. It holds a room the way a good table lamp holds a corner — quietly, from one calm curve. Switched on, the whole underside of that disc becomes the bright surface.

A wide disc riding above a smaller bowl

  • Disc shade — a shallow, gently domed disc, wider than it is deep.
  • Upturned bowl — a smaller bowl hangs centred below it, rim uppermost, with a ring of small pierced holes just under that rim.
  • Rod-hung — a slender, rigid rod runs from the ceiling canopy down to the shade.
  • One finish throughout — canopy, rod, shade and bowl all wear the same finish.

A fine rim, and nothing tucked away

The disc thins as it widens, so the edge finishes as a fine line rather than a blunt lip. Below it the bowl hangs in open view, with the gap between the two left clear. Even the small linked loop under the canopy and the joint in the rod are left on show.

Fit and placement

The canopy is a flat, round plate that sits tight against the ceiling. Give it a table, an island or a desk — the disc is wide and wants clear air around it. Check the overall height in the specifications against your own ceiling before you order.
