Overhead light flattens a room after dark. The Tresa answers with a low, even wash instead. Its wide shade pushes the light down and outward, onto the surface below. Solid stone underneath, soft cloth above.

A domed marble cylinder under a wide, tapered shade

  • The domed shoulder — the cylinder turns over into a dome, so there is no hard edge where stone meets collar.
  • A mirror polish — the stone is worked bright enough to hold a hard highlight, not a soft sheen.
  • A slim collar — a short polished neck lifts the shade clear of the stone, the only metal on the lamp.
  • An open weave — loose enough that the crosshatch shows once the lamp is on.

Natural stone, no two alike

Marble is quarried, not manufactured, so the pattern you receive is your own. The red is a browned ground crossed by white veins, with the odd streak of green. The green is darker and quieter, its veining drifting rather than branching. The grey reads as cloud rather than line; the white is webbed with fine hairline veins. The shade is the same natural weave on every colourway; the stone is what you choose.

Fit and placement

This is a plug-in table lamp. No wiring and no electrician — you need a stable surface and a wall socket within reach. The cord runs off at surface level, so leave a little slack behind it.
