Alabaster Dome Pendant Light With Brass Frame, Adjustable Drop

This dome pendant brings a soft half-sphere of alabaster stone to rest over a slim brass ring, so the light that escapes through the shade lands as a warm, even wash rather than a hard pool underneath it. Hung low over an island or centered above a dining table, the honey-toned veining in the stone shifts gently as the bulb inside warms up — a fixture built to be looked at as much as looked through.

Features

• Alabaster dome shade — a single smooth half-sphere of natural stone, so the light diffuses evenly instead of glaring through a thin fabric or glass shade.
• Brass fittings — the canopy and hardware carry a warm brass finish that plays well against the pale stone.
• Adjustable drop — the 59″ (150 cm) hanging cord can be shortened on install, so you can set the exact height over your table or island.

Choosing a bulb

This fixture ships without a bulb, so you can fit any E26/E27 base bulb — LED, incandescent or fluorescent — in whatever color temperature suits the room. It isn't dimmable as supplied, so pair it with a dimmable bulb and compatible switch if you want that control.

Wiring

This pendant is hardwired, so have an electrician fit it, or wire it in yourself if you're comfortable with basic wiring — it's a straightforward single-fixture job. It's also compatible with a standard wall switch, which isn't included.

Specifications

Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining and tone in your fixture will vary from the photos here — that's the material, not a flaw.
