Λεπτομέρειες

Hang this where a child looks up last thing before sleep. A whole park is embroidered across the cotton panels — a boy reaching for a red ball, a girl mid-cheer, a small animal running past a tree. Lit, the panels warm to a soft gold.

A park scene worked in coloured thread across the panels

  • A boy and a red ball — striped top, blue trousers, both arms up as the ball drops towards him.
  • A girl in a checked dress — arms raised beside him, stitched on the same panel.
  • A runner with a ponytail — white top and mustard trousers, mid-stride on a panel of her own.
  • Trees and a small animal in solid black — flat silhouettes that stay legible with the light off.

A sphere built from seamed cotton panels

Each panel is seamed edge to edge and bound along its length with a strip of matching cotton tape, visible from crown to base in the close-ups. The scene is embroidered straight onto the woven cloth in flat satin stitch, dark green for the tree canopies and one of them flecked with white dots. At the base the panels draw in around a round opening.

Fit and placement

The shade hangs level from a single point at its crown, and the drop is set by the cord length given in the specifications. The photographs show it low over a children's table, high in a bedroom corner and beside a window. Choose the plug shape that matches your sockets at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Does the embroidered scene run all the way round?
Yes. Figures, trees and black silhouettes sit on panels on every side of the shade.

What does it look like with the light off?
A soft matt sphere. The coloured figures stay legible in daylight, and the black shapes read as flat silhouettes.

Do the seams show when it is lit?
Yes, as fine vertical lines across the glow. The round opening at the base stays the brightest part of the shade.
