Gardener Wall Sconce For Outdoors, American Minimalist Style, Black Aluminum

American porch lighting has always leaned toward restraint — a square block, straight lines, nothing overdone — and the Gardener sconce keeps that discipline while swapping in sturdier materials. The body is die-cast aluminum finished in black, paired with high-transparency tempered glass so the bulb's light actually gets out instead of dimming behind a cloudy pane. Pick the square silhouette for classic American lines or the British-style option for a touch more character, in either a small or a larger size, and choose between a solar-powered version with no wiring at all or a hardwired one for steady, always-on light.

Details that matter

• Tempered glass panel — high-transparency glass that lets the bulb's full output through, rather than muting it behind a frosted or coloured shade.
• Two silhouettes, two sizes — square or British-style, each in small or big, so the proportions can match your door or gate.
• Solar or hardwired — go solar if you'd rather skip an electrician entirely, or hardwired for a fixture wired straight into your home's power.

Solar or hardwired — which to pick

The solar version needs a spot that gets reasonable daylight exposure to charge — no wiring, no electrician, just mount it. The hardwired version connects to your home's power for light every night regardless of weather; have an electrician wire it in, or do it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wiring, since it's a straightforward job. Both take a standard LED bulb, sold separately rather than built in, so you can swap it whenever you like.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the square and British-style versions?
Both share the same aluminum body and tempered glass construction — square keeps to a plain American-minimalist block, while British-style carries a different frame profile. Check the product photos for each to see which line suits your door.

Does the solar version need direct sun all day?
It needs a spot that gets reasonable daylight exposure to charge — full sun helps, but it doesn't have to sit in direct sun every hour to work.

Which bulb does it take?
It ships ready for a standard LED bulb, sold separately, so you can choose your preferred brightness and swap it later if needed.
