Recessed into the ceiling like a shallow, glowing plate, the Gingko Rotating Ceiling Lamp swaps the branch-and-petal drama of a chandelier for something calmer — a single round disc of layered ceramic leaves, arranged so they appear to spiral slowly around its centre. Nothing hangs beneath it: no visible cable, no drop, no clutter in the sightline, just a fixture that sits flush against the ceiling and washes the room in soft light, while staying sculptural even switched off. White ceramic petals set over a gold-finished frame keep the whole piece feeling light, despite the metal doing the structural work underneath.
What makes it work
-
Sits flush to the ceiling — with no visible cable or drop, it reads as a clean, low-profile disc rather than a hanging fixture, which suits rooms with lower ceilings especially well.
-
Petals set in a gentle spiral — each ceramic leaf is layered at a slight rotation around the centre, giving the disc genuine depth and movement rather than a flat, uniform surface.
-
Five sizes to scale it — starting at a compact 60 cm plate and stretching to a 100 cm span, so the same design works over a hallway or a full living room ceiling.
Installation
This is a hardwired fixture that pairs with any standard wall switch, so have an electrician mount it, or wire it in yourself if you're comfortable with basic electrical work — once the ceiling bracket is up, it's a straightforward job. At 3 kg (6.6 lbs), it's also light enough that one person can hold it steady while making the connection.

Frequently asked questions
What size works best in a hallway?
The smaller 60 cm models — A and C — sit closest to the ceiling and suit narrow hallways and landings nicely; the 80 cm and 100 cm versions need a little more surrounding space to look right.
How far down does it hang from the ceiling?
Only 30–40 cm (11.8–15.7″), depending on the model, so it hugs the ceiling rather than dropping into the room — see the sizes table above for the exact figure on your model.
Can it be dimmed?
That comes down to the G9 bulb you fit — most G9 LEDs are dimmer-compatible, though it's worth checking the bulb's packaging to confirm.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No — its IP20 rating means it's built for dry indoor rooms only, not bathrooms or anywhere damp.
