Inspired by the gentle curve of the Earth itself, the Hemisfera Suspension Lamp turns a simple hemisphere into a quiet source of warm, even light. The cast plaster diffuser softens every beam into a soft downward glow, so the room feels calm rather than lit. Choose from three sizes and six finishes across matte and glossy surfaces to suit the space you have in mind.

Why you'll love it

  • Cast plaster diffuser — the hemisphere is formed in cast plaster and resin, diffusing light softly and evenly downward for a warm ambient feel.
  • Six finishes — Matte and Glossy in both Black and White, plus Gold and Rusty Brown, so there's a match for nearly any interior.
  • Three sizes — from a Dia. 15.8″ bedside accent to a 35.4″ dining-room statement, the same form scales beautifully.

White and black come in two surface finishes

Both Black and White are offered in two distinct surfaces, so look closely before you choose:

  • Matte White / Matte Black — a soft, non-reflective surface with an almost powdery feel.
  • Glossy White / Glossy Black — a smooth, light-reflecting surface with a polished look.

These are four separate options. Please select the exact finish you want at checkout.

The six finishes

  • Matte White — soft, non-reflective.
  • Glossy White — smooth, reflective.
  • Matte Black — soft, non-reflective.
  • Glossy Black — smooth, reflective.
  • Gold — warm metallic.
  • Rusty Brown — warm terracotta.

Bulb and light source

The Hemisfera takes a standard E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) base bulb, which is not included. We recommend a warm LED globe around 2700–3000K — the plaster diffuser softens and warms that light beautifully for ambient use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the matte and glossy finishes?
Matte finishes have a soft, non-reflective, almost powdery surface. Glossy finishes are smooth and reflective with a polished look. Both Black and White are sold in each variant — four distinct options in total.

What bulb does it use?
An E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) base bulb. A warm LED globe around 2700–3000K works best. Bulbs are not included.

What sizes are available?
Three: Dia. 15.8″ (40 cm), 23.6″ (60 cm) and 35.4″ (90 cm). Every size offers the same six finishes.

What light effect does it create?
The cast plaster diffuser casts a soft, diffused downward glow — ideal for dining rooms, living spaces and bedrooms where you want a warm, settled atmosphere.

These look way better than their cost might suggest. They blend in perfectly with my decor and have the modern black finish that seems to be so in style right now. Easy to install and adjust as needed. Inside of these are painted white vs. bronze so you dont get some weird color reflection.

Although I had never hung anything from the ceiling before, I was a bit hesitant about installing this. However, the instructions provided were fairly easy to follow, and it turned out to be the perfect size and shape for my home office. The sleek design of the installation also helps to modernize the appearance of my workspace, which I really appreciate.

Customer photo review of Pendant Light, Cast Plaster Hemisphere Diffuser, E27, 6 Finishes

Good replacement for original hanging fixture. Installation was pretty straightforward. My old fixture was installed into a slightly recessed ceiling bracket which made bolting in the new one difficult, as it is designed for the mounting bracket to be nearly level with the ceiling. I think it would have been easier if the manufacturer screws maybe had a longer set included to account for an electrical mounting bracket set a few inches into the ceiling. Other than that it looks great and works well. Got what I was looking for at the right price

We chose this lamp because it was affordable and subtle. This pendant gives light but doesn't distract from the room. We didn't realise until we hung it that we might have preferred a lamp that reflected up-- this of course focuses the light downwards.
