Outdoor Wall Light for Porch, Travertine Block Sconce, 60 cm

A bare wall beside your front door rarely earns a second look. This wall light changes that. A tall block of travertine, a light above it, and after dark the stone does all the talking. It reads as sculpture first, light fixture second.

A tapered travertine block standing proud of its metal backplate

• Chamfered top cut — the block is sliced at an angle across the top, so that face takes the light before the front does.
• Clip-held lens — the lens sits on an angled facet at the canopy's lower front corner, held by small retaining clips.
• Light thrown down and out — the beam angles away from the wall and spreads a broad pool well past the stone on either side.
• Open pores across the face — fine natural pits run over the travertine, and raking light picks out every one.

Porous stone against smooth metal

The block keeps its quarried face rather than a polished one. Set clear of the backplate, it casts its own shadow down the metal. The frame stays smooth and unpatterned — plain metal is what lets the stone's texture read.

Fit and placement

It mounts flat against a wall or a column. The backplate is narrow, so a slim pillar takes it as easily as an open facade. The weather rating in the specifications covers fully exposed positions, not only sheltered porches.

Frequently asked questions

Will the travertine match the product photos exactly?
Close, but never exactly. Travertine is quarried natural stone, so the pore pattern and colour shift from piece to piece.

Can I mount two to frame a doorway?
It works well as a pair. Set both at the same height either side of the opening so the two lit stones line up.

Is the whole stone lit, or just part of it?
The light comes from the canopy above and washes down the stone's face. The stone has no light inside it.
