A sealed wall light rated for weather, casting a narrow beam up and down the surface it is fixed to. Indoors or out, it does the same thing: it makes the wall part of the lighting instead of just the thing the fitting is screwed to.
That is what you notice first. Rather than a lit lamp you look at, you get defined blades of light travelling across brick, render or plaster, and a shape that reads in the surface itself. Beside a front door it gives an arrival something to be seen by. On a garden wall or along a patio it draws the boundary of the space after dark so the outside still has depth once the sun has gone. Inside, in a hallway or beside a bed, the same trick adds atmosphere without adding clutter. The glow is warm and welcoming, and the fitting itself keeps a discreet, minimal presence, which is exactly why it works as happily in a stripped-back modern house as it does at a hotel entrance, a villa, or a courtyard.
The body is aluminium, finished in black, with clean lines and nothing decorative bolted on. The exterior is built to stay outside: waterproof and rust-proof, sealed to IP65 in the waterproof build, so years of rain and salt air leave it as it was on day one. Choose the not waterproof build where the fitting will live indoors and the seal is not needed. Each unit weighs only 0.5 kg (1 lb), so the footprint on a wall is genuinely small for the effect it returns, and the LED behind it is integrated and rated for 50,000 hours of service.
Two configurations, and they behave quite differently. The two-head version measures 6 cm (2.4″) long by 4 cm (1.6″) wide by 12 cm (4.7″) high and draws 6 W for 660 lm, throwing a single restrained blade up and another down: quiet, vertical, architectural. The four-head version is the wider bar, 15.5 cm (6.1″) long by 4 cm (1.6″) high, drawing 12 W for 1320 lm and opening into a broader, multi-directional pattern with far more expression to it. Colour is your choice as well, and it goes beyond the usual three: warm white at 3000K, neutral white at 4000K and cool white at 6000K for everyday light, or yellow, red, blue, green and purple when a facade, a terrace or a party calls for something else entirely.
It takes AC 90-260 V and mounts to the wall. Certification covers UL, CCC, CE, CQC, EMC, FCC, GS, LVD, PSE, RoHS, SAA and VDE. For a dimmable version, write to info@clerachic.com. Installation is short work: screw the included bracket to the wall, join the leads to your mains feed with the power off and proper care taken, then restore the supply and check the beams land where you want them.
