Six, eight, or ten rectangular blocks of hand-cut alabaster hang in a straight line off a slim copper-finished bar, each block lit from behind so the stone itself appears to glow rather than simply reflect light. Each alabaster block is genuinely one of a kind, so expect gentle variation in veining and tone from the photos. The bulb it ships with isn't dimmable — if you want dimming, fit a dimmable G9 bulb of your own and the fixture works fine with it. It's built for indoor, dry-room use, hardwired, with a 59″ (150cm) cable you can lengthen if you need more drop. Have an electrician wire it in, or handle it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wiring — it's a straightforward job.
