Globe Ring Chandelier, Alabaster Shades, Brass, 9 or 12 Lights

A ring finished in brass hangs from one ceiling point on three slim cables, and nine or twelve turned alabaster globes sit along it, set alternately above and below the rim. Unlit, the stone reads chalk white and matte, every globe carrying its own faint veining. Switched on, the glow comes from inside the stone instead of off a bulb you can see, so the light lands warm and even across a table rather than in hard points. At ∅70 cm (27.6″) or ∅85 cm (33.5″) across, this is the fixture a room gets arranged around.

What makes it work

• Turned alabaster globes — each one shaped from natural stone, so the veining and warmth shift from globe to globe across the same ring.
• One suspended ring, three cables — the whole frame hangs from a single canopy, so it reads as a floating band of light rather than a fitting bolted to the ceiling.
• Nine or twelve heads — the small ring carries nine lights at ∅70 cm (27.6″), the large one twelve at ∅85 cm (33.5″).

Choosing between the two

Span decides this more than head count. A ring roughly half the width of the table beneath it holds the right proportion: the ∅70 cm (27.6″) nine-light suits a table near 1.4 m (55″) wide, the ∅85 cm (33.5″) twelve-light one nearer 1.7 m (67″). Both measure 120 cm (47.2″) top to bottom as supplied, and the cables are set to length when the fixture goes up, so you can drop it into a stairwell or bring it close over a table.

Before it goes up

• Alabaster is natural stone, so the veining on your ring will not match the photographs exactly — the same warm tone, its own pattern.
• Bulbs are not included: nine or twelve standard G9 bulbs, depending on the ring you choose.
• There is no driver inside the fixture, so dimming depends on the G9 bulbs you fit and the dimmer on the circuit.
• It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms — a dining room, a hallway or a stairwell, not a bathroom or a covered porch.
• It wires straight into a ceiling point, and the suspension cables come with it.

Are bulbs included?

Can I run it on a dimmer?
The fixture carries no driver of its own, so that comes down to the G9 bulbs you choose and the dimmer already on the circuit.
