A single band of natural alabaster sits in a polished brass channel, lit from within, so the whole circle reads as one continuous line of light rather than a row of bulbs. Choose the ∅77.5 cm (30.5″) ring over a standard dining table, or the ∅106.5 cm (42″) where a stairwell or an open-plan room gives you real scale to fill — they measure 138.5 cm (54.5″) and 143.5 cm (56.5″) top to bottom. Both hang from a round ceiling canopy on four outer chains and a fifth through the centre. Unlit, the stone is pale and matte against the brass; lit, its veining comes through as warm shadow.

• The integrated LED is not built for a standard wall dimmer, so plan it onto an ordinary switched circuit.
• The LED is sealed into the ring rather than sitting in replaceable bulbs.
• Alabaster is natural stone: the veining and tone of your ring will differ from the photographs, and that is the material showing itself.
• Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms — it is not moisture-rated, so keep it out of bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces.

Installation

It hardwires to a ceiling point and runs off the room switch. A ring this wide wants a joist or a rated ceiling brace behind the canopy rather than plasterboard alone. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.
