Compact Ring Pendant, Alabaster, Leather Strap, 30 or 40 cm

A solid ring of natural alabaster hangs face-on from a stitched leather strap that runs through its centre and up to a round brass ceiling canopy — no cord, no rod, no metal shade. The smaller ring measures 30 cm (11.8″) across and the same tall, so it clears a bedside table without crowding it; the larger is 40 cm (15.7″), the one to hang over a dining table or a kitchen island. Unlit it reads as a pale stone hoop against brass. Switched on, the stone carries the light instead of blocking it: alabaster is translucent, so the ring glows from within and the veining shows through the surface rather than being lit from outside.

What makes it work

• A leather strap instead of a cord — a stitched leather strap 1 m (39.4″) long carries the ring from the canopy, so the suspension is part of the design rather than something to disguise.
• Solid natural alabaster — real stone, cut and finished as one piece, which is what turns a bright LED into a soft, even glow.
• Built-in LED — the light source is integrated into the fixture, so there is no bulb to match, buy or fit.

Before you order

• The LED is built in. There is no socket, which is why nothing needs buying — and also why the light source is part of the fixture rather than something you swap out later.
• Alabaster is natural stone. Colour, veining and translucency change from piece to piece, so your ring will not match the photographs exactly. That is the material, not a fault.
• Dry indoor rooms only. The fitting is IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all, so keep it away from bathrooms, wet rooms and covered outdoor spaces.

This is a hardwired fixture. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.

Which size should I choose?
Take the 30 cm (11.8″) ring for a bedside, a hallway or a reading corner, where it reads as a quiet piece of stone. Take the 40 cm (15.7″) ring where it has to hold a space on its own — over a dining table, a kitchen island or a stairwell.

Is the strap real leather?
Yes. A stitched leather strap 1 m (39.4″) long carries the ring; on the 30 cm size it passes once through the centre, and on the 40 cm size it is doubled into a loop.

Do I need to buy a bulb?
No. The LED is built into the fixture, so there is nothing to source and nothing to match — and equally, the light source is not a lamp you change yourself.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms.
