A single ring of alabaster hangs flat beneath the ceiling on leather straps, gathered into a small round brass canopy. Unlit it reads as a pale stone hoop, 10 cm (3.9″) deep and veined the way natural stone always is. Lit, the whole band goes amber from the inside and that grain shows through. Four diameters — 50, 60, 80 and 90 cm (19.7″, 23.6″, 31.5″ and 35.4″) — take it from a quiet halo over a bedside to a piece that holds a dining table on its own.

Before you choose
Two things settle most of the doubt on a fixture like this. The LED is not built for a wall dimmer: wire it to a standard switch and it lights at full output. And the colour temperature is fixed at the point of order — warm light or cool light, picked as a variant rather than switched later. The leather hangs at 200 cm (78.7″) on every size, so measure your drop before you settle on a diameter. Alabaster being natural stone, the tone and veining of your ring will not match the photographs exactly.
It is a hardwired fitting that connects to a ceiling point under the brass canopy. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.
