A ribbed disc of natural alabaster, turned in concentric rings, with one white opal glass globe set at its centre — a sconce that reads as a single piece of stone which happens to hold a light. The face measures 15 cm (5.9″) across and stands 10 cm (3.9″) deep, so it keeps close to the wall beside a bed, a mirror, or along a hallway. Lit, the opal glass softens the G9 bulb into a low, even glow, and the ribbing picks up just enough shadow to show the grain of the stone.

Alabaster is one of a kind

Alabaster is quarried, not moulded, so the colour and veining in the photographs are a guide rather than a match. Expect the same warm, translucent stone, with a pattern that is entirely your own.

Installing it

This is a hardwired fitting, and the connection is made behind the round back plate, which measures 12 cm (4.7″) across. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wall wiring — it's a straightforward job.
