A sculptural sconce shaped like a floating balloon, its shade is crafted from high-grade polymer and tethered by a clever pull-cord switch. The glow it gives off is soft and atmospheric, which makes it a charming statement piece for a modern nursery, a playful children's room, or any creative living space. Eight vivid colours mean there's a version for almost any wall.

LED bulbs only, please

To protect the sculptural polymer shade, this fixture works with LED bulbs only. Traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs run hot and can warp or damage the material. Bulbs are not included.

What you'll notice

A note on the polymer shade

The shade is formed by polymer injection moulding. As a natural part of that process, a small circular mould-gate trace may be visible near the top injection point of the shade. This is a standard characteristic rather than a defect, and it's present on every unit, as shown in the close-up below.

When the light is on, the glow takes over and the trace is all but invisible. In daylight it blends into the surface of the sculpture. It has no effect on the lamp's strength, safety, or function.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a traditional 60W incandescent bulb?
No. Traditional incandescent bulbs run hot enough to damage the sculptural polymer shade. This fixture is designed for cool-running LED bulbs only.

What type of bulb base does it use?
A standard E26 (North America) or E27 base. To protect the shade, use LED light sources only.

Is this lamp dimmable?
It can be dimmed when connected to a compatible wall dimmer switch and fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. The pull-cord switch itself is on/off only.

I notice a small circular mark on the shade. Is this a defect?
Not a defect. It's an expected characteristic of polymer injection moulding. The small circular trace near the top of the shade is the mould-gate point, where material was injected during manufacturing. Every unit has it, and we document it in our product photos. It doesn't affect the lamp's strength, safety, or charm once lit; the warm glow makes it virtually invisible, and in daylight it sits flush with the shade's surface.

Are there other surface variations I should expect?
Very minor parting-line traces may occasionally appear near the base seam. This is also a standard result of polymer moulding and not a quality issue. These are normal manufacturing characteristics and don't affect function or appearance when the lamp is lit.

Is the balloon colour vibrant even when the light is off?
Yes. The colour is built into the polymer itself, so it reads as a vibrant sculptural pop during the day and a soft atmospheric glow at night.

What's the difference between the Polymer and Glass editions?
The Polymer Edition (this listing) has a lightweight, impact-resistant shade with vibrant saturated colour, ideal for children's rooms and playful spaces, and it carries the natural mould-gate trace described above. The Glass Edition has a mouth-blown glass shade with a completely smooth surface and a softer, more translucent glow, suited to refined interiors where surface perfection matters most.
