A dim overhead light rarely makes a room feel finished. This floor lamp answers with one soft sphere of glass, lifted on two beads and a slender stem. Switched off, it still reads as sculpture. Choose a colour and let it hold its corner.

A glass globe stacked on two beads

  • Opal glass globe — a round shade in milky glass that spreads the bulb into one even glow.
  • Two graduated beads — a larger sphere above a smaller one, the detail the design is built around.
  • Polished collar — a slim metal ring seats the globe on the top bead, so the join is finished, not hidden.
  • Domed foot — a rounded half-sphere base that sits flat and holds the stem upright.

The colour sits in the beads and the foot

The glass shade stays the same milky white whichever finish you pick. The colour is carried by the two beads and the domed foot; the stem between them is deliberately slim. The stack, not the pole, is what you see from across a room.

Fit and placement
