A wall sconce built from a single bar of quarried alabaster, standing proud of two brass-edged bronze shields. The LED is integrated and hidden behind the metal: no bulb to buy, no socket in view. At 50 cm (19.7″) tall on a 12 cm (4.7″) footprint it fits a hallway, a bedside wall, or beside a mirror.

Choosing your version
Warm Light runs at one fixed warm output from an ordinary switch — the soothing end of the scale, right for a bedroom or a hallway. Triac Warm Dimming dims from a standard TRIAC (leading-edge) wall dimmer and warms further in tone as it comes down, which is the one to take beside a bed. The dimmer is a separate wall fitting.

Fitting it
Hardwired to a flat wall plate, with no cord and no plug, so it needs a supply point at the mounting position and it mounts vertically. For a bedside or console pair, 150–160 cm (59–63″) from the floor to the centre of the fixture is the usual height. Handle the alabaster by its edges — it is stone, and it chips. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wall wiring — it's a straightforward job.

Does it need a bulb?
No. The LED is built into the fixture and wired straight to the mains, so there is nothing to buy alongside it.
Can I dim it?
Only the Triac Warm Dimming version, which works with a standard TRIAC wall dimmer. The Warm Light version runs at one fixed output.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
Will the stone match the photographs?
In tone, yes. In pattern, no — every slab of alabaster clouds differently, and yours will be its own.
