Nine or twelve alabaster globes sit on an open brass ring, some above the rim and the rest inside it, so from below it reads as a cluster of moons. Choose ∅60 cm (23.6″) with nine or ∅80 cm (31.5″) with twelve; both hang 120 cm (47.2″) from ceiling to ring. For dining tables, kitchen islands, entryways and stairwells.
What makes it work
-
Alabaster cut, not cast — each globe is worked from quarried stone, so light travels through the material rather than bouncing off it — warm cream and grey-veined unlit, honey-white with dark seams once lit.
-
Solid brass throughout — a rectangular-section ring holds every globe in its own cone-shaped cup, matched by a round brass canopy at the ceiling.
-
Two spans — nine lights on the ∅60 cm (23.6″) ring for a table of four to six or a seating group; twelve on the ∅80 cm (31.5″) ring for a table of eight, a wide entryway or a stairwell.
Natural stone, and it shows
Alabaster is quarried, not moulded. The veining, cloudiness and tone of your globes will differ from the photographs, and some edges are left raw where the stone was cut rather than polished. That is the material declaring itself, not a fault.
Bulbs and dimming
Each globe takes one standard G9 bulb — nine on the smaller ring, twelve on the larger — sold separately, so brightness and colour temperature are yours to set. There is no driver in the fixture, so dimming is a matter of fitting dimmable G9 bulbs to a compatible dimmer switch.
Installation
The ring is hardwired and hangs on three fine steel cables from a round brass canopy. A span this wide wants a joist or a rated ceiling brace behind the canopy rather than plasterboard alone. Set the drop first: the fixture measures 120 cm (47.2″) from ceiling to the base of the ring, and over a dining table the base usually sits 76–91 cm (30–36″) above the tabletop. Wire and hang the ring before you seat the globes, handling each by its brass cup rather than the stone. Have an electrician make the connection if you’d rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you’re comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it’s a straightforward job.

Frequently asked questions
Which ring size should I choose?
The 9-light spans ∅60 cm (23.6″) and suits a table for four to six or a seating group. The 12-light opens to ∅80 cm (31.5″) for a wide entryway, a stairwell or a table of eight.
Which bulbs does it take?
G9 — nine on the smaller ring, twelve on the larger, sold separately, so the brightness and the colour temperature are yours to set.
Can I dim it?
Yes — fit dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. There is no driver inside the fixture, so the bulbs and the switch do the dimming.
Will the alabaster match the photographs?
In tone, yes. In pattern, no — every globe is cut from natural stone, so the veining on yours is unique to your fixture.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which means indoor, dry locations only. Keep it clear of steam and splashes.
